Moving payment processor as a business is not easy, there's a lot of risk involved especially if you have a lot of international take so I would bet as someone that deals with this a lot of businesses will stick with what they know which is paypal Plus paypal branded checkouts tend to convert better as well because of the trust factor

PayPal has burnt way too many business owners nobody will trust them with their money and we'll find other alternatives for merchant services I for one hope that they crash for what they have done to us hopefully most investors can get their money out before it's over

I agree PayPal account has many flaws and all of them are for you to pay more commissions Currency exchange rate is ridiculously abusive User support is nonexistent And there are many better alternatives, and more everytime So I never invested in PayPal and will never do if everything keeps this way Thanks

Great idea for a video would be to review the popular stocks discussed on the channel with the 3M method (BN, EQB, etc) BN for example does not have a huge moat since there are other big money managers and conglomerates

Agree with you The buyback & SBC policy seems to be made adhoc Paypal is removing shares from investors and giving them to Management while maintaining its stock price, so Management doesn't lose too much on it

I like PayPal as a trade, I agree it has no moat which is why it’s not a core investment of mine but I have bought shares based on the valuation and my prediction I can likely get a good return in a relatively short period I did the same with Meta when it was selling for cheap, not a company I wanted to own forever but I couldn’t pass on the valuation it was at

I don’t know how much this applies to Paypal specifically, but when it comes to payment providers, I think there is a difference between consumers and businesses A business might not quickly switch payment provider, especially if they consume multiple services from the provider, just because they can save a little on the cost (usually it’s only a small portion of the total cost, and switching introduces risks and costs as well) You don’t want to risk being a day without payments brbrBut as a consumer if an online service offers a convenient payment method, it doesn’t matter which provider it is, as long as you trust and understand the payment process And preferably it takes little effort to complete the paymentbrbrSo I don’t think there is much moat on the consumer side, but on the business side, I think there is However, like I said, I don’t know how much this applies to Paypal (since this is a perspective I’ve heard on another payment provider)
