When watching videos like Professor Messor, do you recommend to not focus on taking notes and pausing, unpausing to write notes and instead just pay attention and soak it in? This is my struggle point that feels like it takes forever for me to get through videos

0:59 that’s so hard to do though especially when you’re so used to memorizing answers for tests it’s like physics all over again when we had to conceptualize the material and that was tough for me to do because no one can make you understand something

What's your opinion on also adding a book in the polish phase? I tend to do so for a bit more detailed description or possibly missing info from both the video course and quizzes As a downside, cert books take a while to read

ANKI is great I have used it to pass certification tests for Check Point firewall and the CISSP I'm with you on the number of cards I had to make on the CISSP material, I was pushing 3000 in my polishing phase

You just really saved me with this simple yet effective advice I didn’t even want to approach taking exams until I had some type of techniques around Anki I would always see people talking about Anki for med school and I wasn’t sure how to use it for IT Please make a course with different memorization techniques and approaches to using your method with Anki There is a huge market out there for it because people will pay for it when it comes to alleviating the pain and stress of passing a cert I would use this for PMP and other certs as well I honestly would pay upward of $500 to have a comprehensive course on how to effectively pass IT certs Of course there would need to be extensive Anki training in regards to how to make effective cards depending on the type of knowledge you’re trying to learn But there is need for this training

Very helpful! I will use this Anki app to expedite and streamline my studies I find myself spending excessive time on the priming stage, slogging through too many videos before really engaging with the material via study Qs
