I just recently learned that my god-daughter was on the same flight as you from El Nido to Manila Her and her mom were able to join her aunt in Manila Her grandmother is still stuck in El Nido My husband and I have been following your story because we came very close to getting stuck in El Nido We were on Coron when the shutdown began, and were supposed to take a ferry to Puerto Princessa on March 14th We were told our ferry was cancelled and all the flights were booked, so we decided to take a ferry to El Nido, hoping we would still be able to catch our plane to Cebu in two weeks We met a very nice lady in El Nido who got us booked on the last mercy flight on the 17th It was bumped up to the 16th because of the Luzon shutdown and we barely caught the plane We made it to Clark, was able to grab the last bus to Manila, and managed to make it to our hotel by foot We were able to catch flights back to the US the next day and count ourselves very fortunate I really enjoyed watching what life would have been like if we had been stuck in El Nido I'll will keep up with your future travels Comment from : Carol Cox |
