I have TWO and have had no problems at all mine run 24/7, Junction Temp is 43C GPU Temp is 41C I use them for games and Protein Folding for medical research I upgraded from R9390 and HD7990 Comment from : briand01 |

I think this test is accidentally or unknowingly disingenuousbrIf you look at Warzone test, you can see 6900XT has too much overhead resources, meaning it is way faster than your CPU, so it's utilized well below 90, while Vega 7 is at 99brbrThis is how when I play Insurgency Sandstorm with RTX 4090 I get less fps than with RTX 4080brDoesn't mean RTX 4080 is better, it is simply closer to 13900k speed CPU that I havebrbrIt happens when your GPU usage is low Comment from : Righteous One |
wouldnt the 1 lows be from the CPU if youre that bottlenecked? Comment from : Michael Falabella |
I got my vii for 100$ off Facebook marketplace lmao figured it wouldn’t be bad it seems to work great though Comment from : chase mecham |
I should not buy it even for $250-$300(prices in my country) Comment from : Aegie |
Nice video can you help me out i caudlnt find any infirmation about VCE of this card what codecs does it supports? Comment from : Aji Ngolk |
What? The RX 6700 XT does support Ray Tracing LMAO And what's a Radeon architecture? There are two there, GCN and RDNA 2 GCN wasn't built cause AMD was broke, it was meant to be a compute card with decent rasterizing performance and a parallel machine The issue was the shader engine which was small ( 4 shader engines per CU, also had severe bottlenecks with the geometry and polygon pushing along with a severe DX11 driver bottleneck as the main thread for call dispatches was single threaded AMD rewrote the DX11 driver for RDNA and even benefited GCN at some point Comment from : evolucion888 |
If u can, redo the tests with SAM enable Comment from : Ruan VInfo |
Picked up a new xfx Radeon VII right before mining took off for $550 Sold it near peak mining for let's just say it more than paid for the inflated 6900xt prices 6900xt was a MASSIVE upgrade for me not only just in fps, but the build quality and silence I still miss the VII though, one of the most unique cards we'll see for a while Comment from : SoloCamo |
I can't take anyone seriously who is using the word "fanboy" in every second sentence I want an informative and factual video For biased comments I can scroll the comment section Comment from : Nickayz |
radeon vII is beast card Comment from : adeenzzTV |
1 low is very based on memory bandwidth, of course the Radeon VII its going to be amazing in this with HBM 2, the problem with RDNA 2 its low memory bandwidth, there is only so much cache can dobri believe AMD will only beat NVIDIA in GPUs with fully chiplet design, not RDNA 3 type of chiplet, im talking threadripper type of chiplet Comment from : RODRIGO FILHO |
A bunch of weirdos in the comments complaining about this, that, and the other I never even heard of this thing until today so I was wondering what it was capable of All in all, this video pretty much answered everything for me Comment from : Infinite Blaz |
"card is obsolete"brSay that to my rx 480 8gb or 290x2 4gb cards that i still use once in a while Comment from : Murlock2000 |
That 1 low I'm glad I moved away from AMD after Vega64 RDNA is total shit! Comment from : ZXman |
Such a clickbait title and I knew it was I just wanted to make sure Comment from : Sable |
Didnt think this card had the ability to be that good for gaming Comment from : Spook84 |
clickbait trash Making a fuss and a 20 minute rambling video over a 1 game outlier What a clown Comment from : e vila |
what ppl dont know is, windows is NOT optimised for AMD and vice versa What every AMD GPU user should do is tweak Gpu values in Registry Editor There is few tweaks like gpu priority and etc Comment from : Ivan Branković |
Really interested to see modded NimeZ drivers installed on this card I have had nothing but success with these custom drivers on legacy AMD cards I highly recommend trying them out Comment from : yeetus |
The Radeon VII was an awesome card I liked it more than my 2080 Ti, it had a good undervolt and stayed in its boost frequency all of the time I never had an issue with it and I only was getting about 20 fps less than my 2080 Ti I paid $600 for it new and my 2080 Ti was like $1400 Not worth the extra $800 Also, it came with 3 games, WWZ being one of them Comment from : IgoByaGo |
amazing Comment from : Drezic |
is it better than rtx 4090 ? in 1 percent low ? Comment from : Mariusz saassa |
Damn, this is really informative I've had a Radeon Vii since launch and have been running into a few issues lately due to the driver support Appreciate the content man you got yourself a new sub Comment from : OrangeF1uxx |

I got this for 80$ yesterday Comment from : Cary2060 |
Loved my Vega 56 (1450-1550MHz, 1080MHz HBM) and it was butter smooth in games and performed surprisingly well at 4K Unfortunately they die with too much idle time 😅 it's a simple resistor fix for some but very hard and should not try fix for most 🤣brbrI picked it up for $180 YEARS ago, so for the price it was awesome 😂 but I noticed it did very well at 4K (at the time with those games) and that made me happy in 2017 Comment from : Gabriel Soria |
id buy this back from you anytime im looking for a 2nd one for my already watercooled one Comment from : Farncois Bisson |
Title has 6900xtonly saw graphs on 6700XT Click Bate? Comment from : Earl Watkins |
No because GCN architecture came long before VEGA with hd7970 era in 2011 Comment from : Big Yin |
6700xt is now dropping below 300$, good time to be gpu shopping Comment from : Joescalon |
Its obvious that the only 6900 xt test is done with power limiting core frequency, only the fact that the 6900 xt conclusion is done on one game only says the reviwer is 100 dishonestbrIts not about 6900 xt performance, its all about making money in youtube Comment from : MrSookonn |
You got hbm and hbme i think it's cheaper but i think not so fast as hbm 🤔 not sure anymore Comment from : F*Kim |
good video but the radeon vii still gets driver updates Comment from : chris young |

Is that an AMD Driver Problem or an Afterburner problem? 🤨 Comment from : Doctor Fresh |
Im curious thobrWill it help to cap fps according to my monitors refresh?brLike 144br6700xt seems to be capable enough for that Comment from : C&C🫀💜 |
No they weren't very good for mining And they're pretty good cards for gaming You just have to understand how they work I'm running a 3900x with the Radeon 7 and 36 gigs of gddr4 RAM I play my games in 1440 and I have no problems at all and it's water cooled I still own the stock cooler But with my setup I can play any game I want And because of the psychotic levels of video memory it's considered the fastest card on Earth when it comes to video memory Comment from : walking in the dark |
No they still support the Radeon 7 and the drivers are still pretty good Comment from : walking in the dark |
Also for AMD fanboys:brAMD Radeon RX580 8GB way better than a GTX1630 and RX6500XT all of those at stock Comment from : Saricubra |
GARBAGE ASS CONTENT! LOL running along a random water edge that offers no real challenge to render Very good Now please do a real benchmark and run through multiple biomes and track the 1 low history I gaurantee the radeon VII doesn't have that 1 low throughout the entire map Comment from : vidfreak56 |
I grabbed a 6700 cut down edition and was surprised to see how well it worked vs a 6600 Temps needed a bit of tuning but it was a good bang for the buck Comment from : Carl Turechek |
Amd drivers are fucking amazing on linux, they're much superior to the trash windows counter part They're like this because theyre open source, i hope that nvidia users can have this one day Comment from : supramacy |
Wrong Comment from : Evermore |
6900xt or 6700XT? Comment from : BITt&BIT |

Radeon VII is completely supported on LinuxbrVega architecture is the same architecture called CDNA for servers graphics cardsbrPlease make a vídeo with HoloISO aka steamDeck OS Comment from : mercuriete |
600 used on Ebay 2080ti, 450 Comment from : Cameron |
I bought 2 VII’s when they launched at MSRP and sold one at the peak of the mining boom for $3,300 and I’m still using the other one Been waiting for another Radeon card worth buying since I’ve had the worst experience with nvidia every time I’ve bought one of their cards in the past 20 yearsbrbrI’m not sure what driver issues you’re talking about though I only had one issue with Radeon drivers with a Strix Vega64 in 1 driver revision No issues with the VIIs Either of them Comment from : Justin Parrish |
I dont understand how he gets those frames with the rx 6700 xt, I have It paired with the 10-700f and avg 160 around the map, yes I understand he is looking outside but still very high Comment from : Avenge Computers |
Great video i love those legacy product reviews, would love to see you test old x99 with i7 5960x, not sure if you are aware of those older HEDT's but this chip especially aged like fine wine which even can compete against zen 3 cpus Also love those spicy comments bellow this video 😂 Comment from : h1tzz |
I had completely forgotten that Radeon VII exists Comment from : Diloran |
What does it perform like with NimeZ modded drivers? Comment from : Nian Banks |
Those weird colors on the Radeon looked nicer imho Comment from : SLDKJH Amsterdam |
The hit on Timmy joe playing games Kinda shitty , dude stopped making videos and said why ,legit I have respect for him Comment from : Jacob Treadway |
It's a good thing I don't give a flying F about Warzone or any other COD So I'm no missing anything with RDNA2 Comment from : V for V |
I'm sorry but you have to run all these benchmarks again but with open-source drivers Comment from : Durkhead |
Now tweak the VRAM memory timings like miners do Your junction temperature indicates the water block isnt mounted very well Comment from : Stephen M |
You can mod Stray so that the cat looks like your real cat 🥰 Comment from : StaffanStuff |
Fun fact: Radeon VII was locked to 99 GPU usage the entire time, while the 6900XT was barely hitting 80 utilization This means that most likely the 1 low was simply because the GPU couldn't render faster, unlike the 6900XT's AMDIP :D Comment from : AntzuPC |
Title has 6900XT, but in the graphs you have 6700 XT ? Comment from : Klemen Zagar |
Sometimes companies miss their targets when making a product the 6900xt seems to not have a place in this world The 1 low is a dealbreaker Comment from : hansis corner |
We need a stray stream! Comment from : Rob 35 |
I just wish they would go back to older hardware and software and keep optimizing it and to keep pushing its limits instead of just pushing for more power That's a sloppy way to get more performance Comment from : LarBear |
8k gaming is going to destroy current cards You're going to get like 12 fps on the best settings lol Comment from : LarBear |
$400 isn't dirt cheap, especially when you're saying that it is useless nowadays $100 or less is what it is worth Comment from : LarBear |
uh, radeon 7 has hbm memory, meaning the delay going to the memory bus is going to virtually NOT be there hugely helping 1 lows the 6900xt only has 128mb of infinity cache on die, compared to the multiple gigabytes of "Almost" on die memory in the Radeon 7 the statement that The radeon 7 is "Faster' than the 6900xt is a bit disenginuous when you have less cache on chip, memory reads have more latency The 6900xt destroys the radeon 7 in all other metrics Comment from : Dj Mccullough |
Have you tried the amernime drivers? Comment from : khrisround2 |
the pci version active showing on gpuz for the radion vii is 16 x v11 not pci-e3 or 4 which looks quite wrong to me Comment from : Hugh Mantwopointohhh |
Not a fanboy how you describe, I bought it for it rarity on launch I still have it I don't have any bugs since day one I only play old MMORPG games and a little of devil may cry 5 on PC a little Comment from : Kt Pt |
Hahaha so funny Ya I kinda feel that way Comment from : joshua pinardi |
Well, I feel better now I can swap out my 6900XT for my Radeon 7 for warzone Comment from : Crusader Rossi |
Radeon VII is a card not meant for the (average) user Custom setting Comment from : Michael Perez |
Regardless of which GPU manufacturer you support, it’s good to see some people testing for flaws in either software driver or architecture 🥰👍 I commend Jufes for his work looking into this Overall I look at various outlets for their feedback and investigation and if there are crossover points which which reviewers find, it’s more than likely that an issue has been identified It’s not fanboy’ism, it’s just facts I own both AMD and Intel CPUs as well majority Nvidia and one Radeon GPU 😇💪👍🥰 Comment from : Michael T |
Here we go Radeon fanboys unite Comment from : Qubes |
Include more cat footage Comment from : Grond |
Some people don't play Warzone lol idc Comment from : Weasle |
Yufuscan you make a video to overcome the clock limit on 6800xt with the moreoverclock tool for gaming? Comment from : South Bronx, NY |
Jufes what are you going to mine after ETH? Comment from : Jacqli Reyvateil |
Imagine GDDR7X 1700 bandwidth Comment from : RnGues |
Frame Chasers : "amd needed to design a good enough for gaming architecture because they were kinda broke" ?!?!?!?! It's like listening to a child HAHAHAHAwhat a childish logic you have mate Damn, you are really backwards oriented Comment from : LFly R |
do you think its related to memory bandwidth, Architecture, or drivers? Comment from : Nathan |
The million dollar question is whether the upcoming rx 7000 series will be able to defeat much less compete with Nvidia Ray Tracing performance in games? Comment from : Absolute Longplay |
I was hoping for some journalist tier doom gameplay :( Comment from : Nathan |
Frame Chasers : I have no troubles with "the drivers" Every iteration of the drivers works flawlessly in many modern games I don't know what you're talking about mate Drivers are completely and utterly equally properly working as they are on a Vega 56/64, RX 580, RX 5700XTso yeahyou're talking jibberish mate Another thing : you're saying that AMD was making no money on Radeon 7 cardscompletely UNTRUE No manufacturer makes "no money" on any product They always make money, usually even more than you think Comment from : LFly R |
