I have a gas fired fireplace that I don’t use anymore I take white birch logs and hollow a few out and place my valuables into them and cap them with the same wood but leaving the bark a few inches to accept the cap I’ll hollow out 2out of 5 of them and stack them in the stove I call them You’llhidelogs, instead of Yuletide logs Run with it cause I never patented it

Back when I had a construction business I had a customer ask me to make a secure place for his silver and gold his idea was cut a small amount of your drywall from behind your door trim put a hinge on the back of the trim board and drill a small hole to stick a nail through to keep it from accidentally being opened it was a great idea and worked left a cubby hole behind the trim board to put alot of things !!

Hey CFP! Our precious metals are kept off-site but another place could be in the hem of your draperies, sew them in so they don't jingle around it they're moved I got this idea several years ago when my mom would put silverware {for the weight} in the hem of shears to eliminate wrinkles
