I remember someone saying it doesn’t matter if you have flat nipples, there’s a reason it’s called breastfeeding not nipple feeding In my experience, my baby had a hard time latching without a clear target (long nipple) so the nipple shield definitely helped to pop the nipple out

I wore a small device when I was pregnant It utilized suction to draw on the nipple, and was invisible under my clothes I think it helped, but in the end, since baby isn't 'nipple feeding', the most important thing was to have an excellent latch which includes the areolabrbrFind a support group while you are pregnant Don't have bottles or pacifiers to tempt you when you are struggling, don't seek for advice from non-breast-feeders or health care providers who aren't specially trained, and be patient Early struggles can feel like an eternity, but it is so worth the effort when you finally put them behind you :)

Not sure what kinda nipples I had lol but I ended up having to use the nipple shield and it worked really well and I only used it for like 2-3 months I think maybe my nipples were flat idk 😂😂😂

I did the nipple shield Trick for my kids Let baby suck until the fire hose pressure backs off (lol), pull the shield off, put baby back on the breast I successfully nursed 3 babies for a total of 66 months

I tried even with a nipple shield and it still didn’t work, even with several nurses help at different times it was painful & I had bleeding & scabbed nipples from trying to breastfeed and my breasts hurt so much because I couldn’t get the milk out and my baby was colicky feeding time just sucked for my babe & I, and not in the way we needed 😢

My left nipple had surgery and my right wouldn’t come out at all The only way i could get anything out if my left was when hand expressing and my right i could pump but baby wouldn’t latch on ether

I love your visuals I think they are amazing (Sorry not a woman but just an overly inquisitive (gay man) person) But why do you suggest using the nipple cover between mom spout and baby? Is there a reason not to do it skin to skin? Does this have higher risk of gas intake for the baby or irritation to the nipple? Just wondering Again the visuals are great your C-section one drew me in!
