I have recently passed my test in the UK first time with 2 minor faults Is this what a real test is like in America?? our tests last 38 minutes on average and we have to do manoeuvres like bay park or parallel park, hill starts, meeting points for oncoming traffic etc etc why does this look so easy 😭 OH! and the examiner is not really meant to talk to you, let alone tell you what to do! if you do not slow down enough for a turn, they won't tell you, they let you try and do it at whatever speed and fail you if it is unsafe lmfao

I took my driver test yesterday Oct 12 I told my instructor that I have a hearing loss and I’m so lucky she was very nice and helpful about it she would lean in close to me to make sure I hear her And I pass on my first try 😊

What state was this done in? There were a few deductions that the student driver got that I have never heard of, especially having your wheels turned while waiting to turn (I went to a driving school taught by retired police and never once did they mention that) Also him telling her to immediately drive after the light turned green was not good practice, you should look both ways twice before actually going in case someone runs the red and hits you She should not have gotten deducted for taking a few seconds before going

I dont think failing this person was very justified, yeah they made a couple mess ups with speed and all but you have to remember that they are very new to driving and that should be your obligation to teach them the correct way so they better their mistake, not some piece of paper

I remember I failed my first test by stupidly running a red, though it was a weird kind of intersection I wasn't familiar with and no other cars were around 2 weeks later I'm allowed to go again and I get the same guy, he went easy on me lol

It all depends on the tester, this guy was even telling her how fast to go on each street Mine had me fake parking at a hill, 3 point turn (I messed up), and had me go on a street with a hidden speed sign and deducted tons of points off that Just my bad luck They also do parallel parking here which is insane!

As a professional driver myself, the slow right turn deduction was absolutely inappropriate, especially considering this is entry to a residential area For the brake check, you could have at least respectfully reminded her to be well aware of anything behind her beforehand Same with the u-turn! She definitely looks like a new and inexperienced driver, but you don’t sound like an experienced instructor, especially with the lack of rapport I perceived… and that you aren’t keeping your eyes far enough on the road (never been sure why instructors give late instructions sometimes) The way you speak to someone when they are a fresh driver really makes or breaks their focus
