I have two Credit One cards several years ago when my credit was bad (due to a very dumb decision on my part) Now I have excellent credit and repeatedly tell myself that I need to cancel those cards because they're horrible but I don't want to give my credit score any reason to go down It took me way too many years to dig myself out of the hole that I dug so I am kind of obsessive about not doing things that will have a negative impact on my credit

When you charge your credit card it’s borrowing money A cash advance is borrowed cash and the interest rates are in the stratosphere for them Interest rates are going up on almost everything right now because of the inflation crisis Taking out a cash advance is a big no no with having a credit card Not taking out a cash advance is an easy way to save you a lot of money

Late to the game, but who the hell wants to carry 15 cards for different purposes? I carry one card (luxury black)for all things Time is money and spending (wasting) time managing all of that is ridiculous Rather pay a higher fee and get 80 of everything than managing multiple low fee cards to maximize points Whet a life force drain Btw, I have an Amex Plat as well, but Amex absolutely sucks balls in so many ways AWill be canceling

If you don't have bad credit, you don't have to worry about these types of cards (with the exception of the 24K Mastercard Gold Card) Obviously you wouldn't even need to apply for them

I recently closed the account of credit one bank and they desperately tried to keep me, now one thing Gram did not mention is that they charge for a credit card protection fee and you have to pay interest while us about $800 a month, if you rarely use the card you're basically giving away your money 💰 Wait I asked them to stop the credit card protection fee They said they cannot do that it was only after I threatened to close the account did they remove it but I close the account anyways and I have no interest in going back to them

Also now I have cards that all are above 2000 to 4000 dollar range, and I truly believe it is because I leave a small balance on my cards, I have found that everytime I pay off my balances in full my score would drop 15 to 25 points from month to month, until I start leaving a small balance to let the credit card company's make a little entres of me

Hello Gram maybe some people may have had problems, but I like and really want to thank credit one, and first premier cards, because no one would give me a credit card, and I had a 630 score, bad but not the worst, with those bad cards as you say they have really help me get to a 700 score now And all I did was to pay my bill every month on time, and I left 20 dollar balance every month And I am still holding those two cards

I started out with some of these cards But now I have good credit and have been getting better offers in the mail In a couple years I will be closing out a few cards but I have to let my new cards age a bit before I do so Ive built my total available credit to $31,725 as of today
