K cups are about convienience, if im going tk go through the process of filling and cleaning and prepping for next use, I’ll just make a pot of coffee oppose to a single serve Typically I make pots of coffee but I have the Kureg duo so it has both options The convienient option is nice but not cost effective for my coffee consumption levels

Not sure if you are speaking at all from a place of any knowledge, but the water does not go through the aluminum top, a needle punctures it and the water goes into the coffee inside the pod, with perhaps some of the water filling the pod and touching the inside of the aluminum, and the section of pretty much all coffee makers that heats the water and routes it is plastic if you want to avoid hot water and plastic for coffee, you'll need to heat it in some kind of container that is not plastic and brew in some kind of container that is not plastic the most popular method for that is the moka pot, which has been used in Italy for a long time it's aluminum

I'm a little late to this, but I'm going to disprove this man's entire point First off, aluminum is a natural metal on the periodic table, so there are no chemicals in it Secondly, the boiling point of water is 212°F while the melting point of aluminum is 1,221°F, which means that the aluminum is more than capable of handling boiling water without having any particles of it get into your coffee Thirdly, the K Cups are biodegradable and are FDA approved, which means that the plastic has been tested rigorously and it doesn't leak into the coffee Even if the plastic did leak a little, its eco friendly so you'll be fine if it did Do not let this man's lack of competence ruin your easy cup of coffee
