i got a lucky bamboo plant in gift , i am just changing and adding aqua water every week , keeping vase clean , removing yellow stiks , in 3 weeks 3 yellow stem i got in my plant , i removed them but some leaves are also not complete green , i think i am doing something wrong , please tell me, i have place my plant in hall window in indirect sunlight , i have not done anything fungus related thing should i do something

Lucky bamboo is really hard to kill Just make sure it has good soil and proper watering

I’ve owned mine for much over a year now and it’s slowly grown bigger with indirect sunlight in the living room/kitchen My dad has mostly watered it when always keeping it in water and it’s been doing good and has grown leaves over time and I recently very dumly added flower food that comes with roses you buy at a grocery store and shortly after it had a funky smell like cheesy fungus I thought that was the cause but it’s still smells after a few days after rinsing Could it have an infection what do I do

Ok, but point 4 does not apply to my country bc we don't have those chemicals in our tapwater It is even drinkable for humans We cook with it straight from the tap, no filtering needed Was in England for a student exchange once I was so shocked when I wanted to drink a glass of tap water and it smelled like a fucking pool My guest parents tried to argue that it's normal but hell no! The chloride was so high that it took a toll on my freshly dyed hair just by showing normally Had a long conversation with them on how that SHOULD NOT be the standard My guest father was shocked that chemicals in tap water is not normal in other countries He bought several different filters for the taps in the house and a shower head with filter function I am still in contact with them after 5 years and they say they feel way better It's disheartening to see some governments rather put chemicals in the water than implement proper water treatment systems before the water gets directed to the households Just dumping chemicals in it I can't with the world

I was never really interested in these but today I was at Lowe’s and while looking at another plant the person watering the lucky bamboos knocked one off the shelf and it (the outer pot) broke Another worker told her to damage it out I asked if I could buy it at a discounted price She smiled and said “No ma’am, we have to damage it out - but if you wait right her, let me get a bag for you” 😮😊🎍So now I am a clueless owner of a lucky bamboo! Thank you for these tips! Now I have an idea what to do and not to do!

Tap water is bad water for plants, and eventually kills plants, its even toxic to us in large quantities the government says it's fine in small quantities, but we bathe in it, brush our teeth with it, cook with it use it to water our vegetable gardens,and drink it DAILY So how is it that we ingest chlorine and flouride in low quantities?? Not to mention the prescription pills and and other chemicals that the water treatment plants cannot take out of tap water No wonder we, the people in the west are weak compared to other countries We are rampant with mental illnesses, heart disease, kidney, liver you name it, cancer Far too many chemicals in our water, food, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies Even our clothes is bad for us because of polyester releases micro plastics If you want to avoid that, you'd have to wear 100 organic cotton, real linen, organic hemp, or wool Its expensive though Bill gates even wants release crap into sky to block the sun to contol climate control bill gates i've never wished harm on someone in my life, but bill gates he makes me me fewl guilty of it He's really like a devil in human disguisebrDone my rant

I bought one of these babies a little over a year ago When I got them (3 tied stalks w/ leaves), they were in soil so I just continued growing them in the soil At one point they did start to yellow and I thought I was gonna lose them I thought I was overwatering them but I knew some people have them in nothing BUT water I just ended up taking them out of the soil, clearing the roots & putting them into water with cinnamon for about a week or two (changed the water every 2-3 days) I repotted Bambi back into soil, water homie daily, and it’s still thriving I’m not sure the grow rate, or anything But lil baby finally has some new babies growing from the stalks & out of the soil Plan to repot in bigger pot (or one of them bags I just saw) Might get an even bigger tree

So bottle drinking water is not safe and you can gas off the contaminants such as chlorine by letting the water sit Before I water any Of my plants I let that water sit for at least a few hours before use it allows heavy metals and things to settle and gives time for contaminants to gas off, as I said above

Tap water is good because it contains all the essential minerals needed brThe amount of chlorine or fluoride doesn't affect generally however it may depend on regions how your water is
