I have an 8 years old peace lily plant that was blooming when I bought it, after that never bloomed ( a lot of nice big green healthy leaves) but no blooms, tried direct / indirect sun light , miracle grow fertilizer, Gebberellic acid , water it when it is dry only ( about once a week, repotted it in a very draining soil,you look at them and they look like a small tree more than a plant, but never bloom brAny suggestions, Comment from : E D |

I read on one of the most respected and thoroughly informative in almost every aspect, websites that you have to distinguish between tap root and thread root while pruning the roots as trimming the tap roots indiscriminately may harm the plant But I saw uou cutting away all kinds of roots without a care This is not criticism but raising a question that has bothered a home grown green thumb big time Appreciate very much if you clarify Thanks Comment from : champagnemane |

so that yellow on the plant will go away? mine also is sparse and the tips get brown, I cut it off and it keeps browning, so I cut more off the leaf and end up just cutting it off I threw a little used coffee grounds on it, didnt work out well I put it in the bathroom when it steams up, they say that helps Now it wants to bloom one died (maybe from coffee?) Anyway its not full, I want it to get a bit lush, but dont want to over fertilize Why does a leaf get yellow, I just get mad and cut it My thumb isnt green, but Ive been trying and its the same for 3 yrs grrrr Comment from : Carla Dee |

I was given a piece lilly as a get well gift The leaves are all turning yellow I had it in the kitchen by a south facing door so thought it was getting to much light so moved it to a darker spot about 7 feet from a west facing window but it is still turning yellow I use a light and water meter so not over watering HELP????
