Great info, thanks! One important thing to note as our climate warms… I live in the desert SW (zone 9a) and it is important to know that the Crassula Ovata CANNOT take the prolonged heat of the summer months here! I learned the hard way when moving here from LA with a giant plant that I had had for many, many years growing outside When I moved here it grew fine until temps were over 100ºF every day—after a couple of weeks it turned to mush and my 25 year old plant was reduced to a puddle in just a week or so brPortlacaria Afra, on the other hand, does fine and even thrives in very hot weather Comment from : Stephen Smith
