My empty soft side carry on bag weighs 7 lbs BUT after packing summer clothes for 6 days, shoes (2 pr sandals) minimal makeup, toiletries (travel size), hair tools & phone charger, it weighed 27 lbs and was a real pain to lift in & out of my car! Enjoyed your video & ideas Even though time has passed, I will realign a bit for my age & comfort, I have preplanned & can do almost the same w/comfort & easy roll fabrics for carry on We've been fortunate in traveling often & retirement has been an adventure I must admit Skeechers are a must wear now at 76 Just some adaptations to aging needs but thank goodness for 'golf cart vehicles' in big airports!!!!brHappy travels everyone! I believe in only one carry on but only good walking shoes like Smart Balance or Vionics , no heels for cobblestones,no skin showing for old arms so sun dress is out Fabrics must be easy to wash by hand Tops must cover belly bulge and be good for visiting churches ( must have sleeves and can’t be see through) A good wardrobe for all ages is neutral and has no more than 15 pieces including a rain coat Makeup should be minimal but moisturizing Jewelry is a no no I only wear a small gold wedding bandhuggy earrings I buy a cheap watch (flea market) to wear Thieves go after someone wearing jewelry Only carry an anti theft bag or cross body that can’t be slashed and ripped from you On a vacation be comfortable Don’t worry about being stylish You probably are never going to see anyone agin or who knows you Carry only small sample sizes of health and beauty products Unless you are going off grid there will be places to fill in what you run out off Take a vacation from style Comment from : Caryn Kabat |
