I just want to give a quick thank you for all of these videos! I have watched a whole bunch of them because I just got into cartography I am a writer and Dungeon Master and I recently decided I want to physically put my worlds on paper, but I'm not all the good at art Your videos have been a massive help for me and I have been testing so many of the different things you have shown The best job I did was with tree style number 3

How could I possibly make a barren forest or jungle forest? More of a tree without leaves look/ palm tree, tropical tree Or even a coral reef, if I were to make an underwater fantasy map I think that look would be interesting, but I'm not really sure how to achieve it, any suggestions? Thanks

No top-down view forest? brMike Schley, the cartogtapher for the WotC D&D books does his maps from a top-down view and his forests are quite beautiful to lool at I’ve drawn inspiration from that and tried replicating it myself I’d suggest to give his maps a look and try it out for yourself!brGreat video, super helpful and practical Forests often do tend to be tricky to nail just right brKeep the ink flowing!

I've learned a lot from your channel and I honestly believe that my world building skills have increased quite a lot :DbrbrPersonally, I've always used the style number 3 because it is the best mix of detail and effort So faster than all the individual styles but prettier than the "cloudy" ones Although, I mostly do large scale maps so I feel it fits there the best

Made a map for my party a couple of days ago I used the first style for it, it just fit for it, because i wanted that sketchy look (The map was sketched by another adventuring NPC)brbrI gotta say, for future maps i'll probably go for the third style I like that one a lot
