I would recomend being able to do the diagonal counterstrafe though, because you peak corners faster when going diagonal, rather than simply strafing

Something I’ve seen people do is in DM they make W and S pull out the knife and go forward or back It’s something people do in valorant To force themselves to use A and D only Idk how well it would work in CS DM But I kinda want to try it

Thats one of the things that CS does really terribly The game doesn't at all tell you anything about its mechanics beyond surface level I have nearly 700h in the game and hear this for the first time Insane!

I have 4700 hours and i dont counter strafe, just like your friend Level 8 on faceit and I just never got used to it, due to the fact it feels unnatural to me I do feel compelled to try and force myself to do it with muscle memory now to see how much I can improve

3:23 I understand what you mean here because i played the game alot, But it would be super helpful if you could also show a clip from both perspectives of what this looks like and why it helps you win these fights for players who played the game way less and maybe wouldnt be able to visualise what this would look like
