I'll tell you about my experience since you asked us to share I was credit shy as of beginning this year after neglecting it for 20 years, actually watched this video before applying for my first cardwhich was a OpenSky secured in the amount of $500 That was in January; fast forward to September, they have sent an invitation for their Gold card This was after 100 utilization, and paying off balance every month Here is what they offered with the Gold card invitation:brbr239 Fixed APR, $500 limit, and a $59 (!!!!!!) Annual fee First off, no credit check or further qualification, as they will only offer this to customers they knowjust sign for the card What I cannot find information is how often you will receive credit limit bumps and what the max credit line they offer brbrFinal thoughtsouch! My secured card already has $500 limit WITH an 1839 APR and the exact same annual fee I'm already on my third credit card, latest being Capital One that has cashback, no annual fee, $1000 credit line to start, and a bunch of MasterCard travel benefits Three cards and one installment loan all in the last 8 months and a score going from 515 to 660 on Credit Karma (FICO 720) Essentially, what I am saying is, this OpenSky Gold card comes late at a time when their secured card has elevated me to way better cardsso I must pass I feel bad for the companythere's really not many Gold card reviewers whom can verify its credit line increasesbrbrI use credit cards for mainly all my purchases now, which I seem to flow around 2k on credit each month I only have enough credit to do this alone, and not enough for huge planned purchases or big emergencies as well The next card I sign for must be a heavy hitterOpenSky Gold, not hitting that criteria for me neither Comment from : Blind Sight |

Open sky does credit line increases for me every month but yes you have to put your own funds in the card when they approve the increase The whole point is its your money that youre investing into yourself to build up your credibility Comment from : InterstateBullly 3nyg |

I just called and spoke to a representative they told me they do not have an unsecured card they tell me they do not do credit line increases unless you fund the money I’ve had the card open since June 20 20 and never have missed a payment so I am wondering if I should close the account Comment from : Eric Dunbar |

Like you said I would only recommend opensky for those rebuilding their credit I've had the secured card with them for a year and they would only let me get a credit increase by adding additional funds Knowing them the unsecured is high and comes with an annual fee lol Comment from : Eric G |
