Re the two bucket method I have always put a hose head inside the mitt to rinse the noodle mitt and at the same time squeezing out the water The reason I've done this is to push the dirt outwards rather than forcing it into mitt What do you think?? Comment from : Roving Rods |

Just what I needed to know, having just picked up my new car Been cleaning cars for 38 years and never done a proper job Thank you👌👍🥂 Comment from : Roving Rods |

I agree with @peterowen4456 with using the one bucket method but doing a deep prewash as well as using not too much force on the wash mitt and doing the lower part of the car with a separate wash mitt One question I wanted to ask was what brush did you use for the wheels please? As well as the brush used on the window ledge ?@epicautomotivedetailing Comment from : Corsasxi |

Hi! I’d like to make a suggestion for a next video: how to wash a car in a jet wash machine I live in apartment, and don’t have access to pressure wash and stuff Always carry my bucket, shampoo etc to the jet wash and try to wash as fast as I can’t and not bother other people Love your videos, thanks!!! Comment from : Lucas Abreu |

Hi, great video as always, really nicely presented with loads of info Quick Q for you please - we’re hoping to take delivery of a brand new car in a month’s time or so - metallic grey Jeep, and I wonder how to apply your video here to the 1st clean of this? I’ve acquired a decent range of cleaning/detailing products over the past wee while including Bilt Hammer DS Wax and snow foam, some PH neutral shampoo, fallout remover spray etc and have been practicing on our Passat recently What tips could you give or do you have a more appropriate video for new car washes/detail you can point me towards? Thanks in advance! Comment from : Andrew Rowat |

1 bucket (with grit guard) if using a pressure washer or hose as you can rinse the mitt with clean running water, 2 buckets (with grit guards) when running water isn't available Comment from : Wilkini |
Multi mitt method (One mitt per panel), some say it is better than the 2 bucket method because you are eventually going to have dirty rinse water With multiple mitts you wont have that because you are using a clean mitt every time you clean a new panel Comment from : Pete McB |
I'm one bucket, but I do take extra care, time and effort with the pre-wash I can safely say that those GTechnic wash mitts are very good indeed After a machine wash every time, they come up soft still after over a year of use and abuse They do shrink a bit, so I treated myself to a black Friday deal and got a spare one in stock I do always rinse the granny out of the mitt before washing in the machine Comment from : 23hublock1 |

I don't live in the UK so I don't have access to your listed TFR However I found this TFR that I can purchase in my region Do you think it's safe for use on car paint? The TFR listed for sale is the Heavy Duty versionbrHere's the link to the product as well as the technical data sheets of said product:br sgrs-onlinecom/web/p/adhesive-removers/7716686/br docsrs-onlinecom/9a53/0900766b811c86d8pdfbr docsrs-onlinecom/8abf/A700000006611805pdf Comment from : natnut2008 |

I've watched on YouTube that Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine Spray Sealant is superior to Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray Sealant as it is more durable and is cheaper as well Comment from : natnut2008 |
I noticed that you used a TFR : Traffic Film Remover for the car paint Is that the same as an iron remover? If I use a TFR for my paint , do I still need to use a separate iron remover for my paint? If I use a TFR, do I still need to use a separate car shampoo? Comment from : natnut2008 |

Our cars aint the best but i like to use the two buckets, just like to keep the paint the best i can Comment from : Paul Cloughton |

I use the 2 bucket method once a monthbrEvery week, I just rinse it, spray snow foam, and perform the final rinsebrbrI use mainly Nextzett products (former Einszett), because their quality/price ratio is very goodbrI also use Turtle Wax (their Bug&Tar removal is great), Wurth (the snow foam is great for cleaning), and Meguiar's (their compound is awesome)brBut I am always trying out new productsbrAs I live in Portugal, importing UK products is not always simple But my mother in Law is helping me get my hands on some products from Gtechniq, Bilt Hambert, Bear Car Care, and YumbrbrMy setup is complex (for a personal clean), but I try to have a quick clean ritual every week, and a more complex once a month cleanbrAnd, even once a month, only the exterior is "deep" clean (not polish or even a clay bar)brOnce a month, I add another step to the clean process: interior, engine, or bootbrThis way, I never get bored, and continue to love doing itbrbrOnce every 3 to 6 months, I try a different protection: synthetic sealant, ceramic, etcbrI admit that I never used a past wax - that real carnuba wax I am thinking on doing it, but the amount of effort, and the low endurance, makes me forget the idea - and they are really becoming expensivebrbrClay, compound, or polish is unusual Maybe once every 18 months, or sobrThis is because these techniques are not for everyday use (your clear coat is limited), and because they are very time consuming Comment from : hitardo |
One bucket normally but after a couple of sections I give the mitt a blast with the pressure washer which is probably the same or if not more effective than the tbm Especially this time of year when you can pickup small bits of leaves etc that you couldn’t see/remove when pre washing Comment from : Gremmy Gremmington |

What did you think of the Model X? I valeted one the other day and hated it!! Those stupid rear doors with all the nooks and crannies, trying to clean the edges while they're up in the air, that naff rear spoiler that just gathers crap underneath, and don't even mention the size of that windscreen which stretches halfway across the roof!! 😡 Comment from : Tony Hill |
Always 2 buckets for me I thought everyone did these days Comment from : Chris_Leslie225 |
Started using one bucket and rinsing my wash mitt with my quick release gun Easier and quicker and not had any hiccups with it yetbrbrTheory behind it is that I am not contaminating a rinse bucket as soon as I have wiped off the first panelbrbrMight be wrong Comment from : MrMoz0887 |
Depends on the vehicle but mostly I only use one bucket been doing this for 38 years never damaged one yet Comment from : Shane Bennett |
Wheel bucket, snow foam followed by 2 bucket wash on our black cars Could the colour of your car influence whether you use 1 or 2 buckets? Comment from : Leslie J Crouchman |
Always 2 buckets for me even for maintenance washes however I do get why some only use one I know some people say it takes longer but surely you’re only talking of a few minutes here or there but again I guess it comes down to personal choice in the end I don’t think either method is right or wrong Comment from : Steve Smith |
One bucket method for me I clean mine ever two weeks what is the best method to get mud off carpets drivers foot mat and carpet Comment from : Mark Smith |
Nice video mate 👍brIt all depends on what the customer wants or the state of the car! 2 buckets 80 of the time 🌈🌈🌈 Comment from : Philip Demarco |
Great video mate I use the 1 bucket method still does a good job keep safe mate Comment from : Martin Bills |
Great video Dave I use one bucket for the wheels and one bucket for the paint As most people have said some far I will clean my once a week so not a lot of road grime builds up And it has good protection so a apc and snowfoam get most of the dirt offbrIn my one bucket I have a chemical guys style grit guard with a normal grit guard on top with the wash board attachment This works well for cleaning the wash pad and mitts I usebrI have always use a wash pad for the upper 3/4 of the vehicle and a wash mitt for the lower1/4 This helps reduce any scratches as well I think Comment from : Thea Playz |
Always one bucket and have had no issues Can’t stand driving a dirty car so wash mine every 2 or 3 days weather permitting! Comment from : Rob Tallentire |
