Instead of using this $start variable at the beginning, you may use $_SERVER['REQUEST_TIME'] Its value will be a bit lower than that of microtime() at the beginning of your script (because the request happens before the script starts running) but it gives you a better estimate of your page load time and saves you a line of code and a variable Comment from : BilingueAnglaiscom |

Ummmthis one isn't really working for me I've been trying to get the time for the entire page such as :
PHP START MICROTIME CODE
HTML
BODY
ETCH
END HTML
PHP END MICROTIME
PHP ECHO
and it just continues to show up as "This page loaded in 000 seconds"
What am I doing wrong?

I just made a variable of the current time at the beginning of the script and subtracted that from the current time at the end of the script Seemed to work too, what do you think about it? Comment from : sacrome |
