I think in last light, Anna had a crush on Artyom when she first saw him and wanted to look like a badass infront of the man who made the order stronger in a few days But after seeing what happened to him(bring captured by Nazis and reds), she blamed herself and thinks that it's her fault for not having artyom's back Once she realized Artyom is a massive sweetheart and someone that looks up to her without any resolve, she instantly fell in love Which explains why she was different in Exodus
