the zombies just seem way to strong for how densely populated they always are It feels like a waste to engage so you run, which ruins the progression feel in the game when you feel every encounter constantly drains your resources with no replenishment Late game levels would probably make the whole mod way better, but early game I guess you're really fucked at first

Excellent! The only addition I would suggest is the myriad of foliage and greenery mods! Adding dense forests and overgrowth would make this even more intense, by removing the ability to see zombies at a distance when on flat ground
