A new austrian/habsurg empire wouldn't likely to happen, becuase austria-hungary was a dualist state, that means austria couldn't do anything really without hungary's permission (anything except austria's stuff, but something that affects the whole empire is completely impossible to do) AND hungary was more powerful than austria, in 1848/49 hungary almost won the hungarian war of independence, but austria called the russians for help, because austria itself couldn't defeat hungary I know this is alternate, but you can't alternate the "before" events, so it's fucked up
