About 2 years ago my dad dispursed my grandpa's silver to us kids In passing he mentioned 2 big jars of nickels My dad said he got about 30 or $40 at the coinstar My dad had no idea there were ever any silver nickels I think i cried a little Pretty sure grandpa picked them out of his change after work For years and years personally brThat was in san diego It seems almost impossible these arent his nickels I'm glad I got to see my grandpa's nickels on you tube anyway :(

Best nickel box I've ever had was a 1950 P 5 proof nickels, 3 buffalo nickels 1 buffalo was the 1935 DDO and was able to find a 1938 with 4-5 steps

This is why whoever the executor of your estate know about your stack and coin collection and educate them on the worth of your collection and even give them instructions on how to sell it so it doesn’t just get dumped at the bank for face values

I've had luck with several small nickel hunts Got a roll at a gas station with a 39 P in it Got 10 rolls at a chase bank at school and found 2 buffalo nickels in the same roll and a 50 P mixed in as well I also saved 5 rolls for some reason and got a 39 P in one of the rolls

Wife and I finished a $200 bag of nickels recently Found three Proofs, a bunch of 1999 thru 2005 in both mint marks that are uncirculated The normal amount of 40’s and 50’s and two 1938 Phillies and two silvers Pretty good bag
