I use Philips Hue, Alexa a Gate Opener (RTU5024) to open the main entrance to the condo building Connected Alexa via Android Phone to open the door with voice control using tasker and autonotification plug-in Most of it is also connected to IFTTT, using Withings Home and other appliances from Withings IFTTT's services are very convenient For heating control I use TADO successfully with a lot of pleasure too

Another great video Matt One of my favorite Alexa tasks is just to ask her to play music from a certain artist or genre So easy and usually works every time Having it wired to a great sound system makes it really enjoyable

My most used is my shopping list! I'm cooking in the kitchen, and I noticed I need some chili powder etc Later, I notice we are low on toothpaste, so I tell my echo upstairs to add it to my shopping list When I'm at the store, I simply check my list on my iPhone Only problem is, I have to be looking at my iPhone, and wonder when I'm gonna drop it while shopping!
