Nokia improved their maps to functionally work the best of the three at least in the Middle East Google maps works but very sneakily imposes data charges even after caching maps Google still needs a data connection even with cache Apple maps cannot even find its way out of the Dubai airport I got a bad sense here a veiled attempt here is that all 3 of these map makers are sneakily selling us on cloud dependency

Why is nokia here maps are available for other phones and specially for other OS's? It was a differentiator, and nokia and specially windows phones has very less differentiators and plus points comparing to IOS and Android Whats the point of buying a windows phone or a nokia when almost everything is available for others as well? :/

@neilmc1983 google maps as far as I know can only download a small area like a ciry block Nokia maps can download whole estates/ countries and has offline voice guided navigation

@Po Russki the default maps app on wp8 is powered by nokias maps platform, only the interface is differentas for nokia drive the app is still in beta iam pretty sure it will release to the rest of wp8 once its out of beta nokia has always been fast with updating apps its upto htc to add drive on your phone and am pretty sure they dont want to miss out on the good stuff and give ppl a reason less nt to buy the 8x:)

Really? you can download maps of the whole country on Google maps and navigate offline? Are you sure about that? Google maps only allows you to download a very very small área at a time On nokia drive you can even use voice directions while offline

This comparison is horrible Not only does nokia maps have more information on many more countries than even Google maps but it is also the only one that has offline capabilites including download of the maps of pretty much any country
