The last driver update (version 46140), proposed by GeForce Experience on 20210126, destroyed my GTX 770 one hour after In 2019 I had the same problem with a GTX 570 I'm sure it's planned obsolescence No way I can trust your hardware anymore Your old RTX will be probably randomly disabled within 5 to 10 years by a scandalous update My money goes for AMD Radeon now I wish you a good collapse on the Intel path Bye

I'd like to know when they will patch screen space reflections, so that when I look around, the reflections on water don't disappear as the object being reflected disapears from view It really ruins the photo-realistim It does it quite a lot in the forrest level Water reflections also glitch when a foreground object blocks it

Idk why people hate ray tracing At the end of the day it's just tech moving forward Vr back in the day was fucking expensive very finicky and limited But now it's starting to become more widespread and some phenomenal games have been developed trough it brbr I'll gladly wait a year or two maybe three for the rtx20 cards to lower in price and have acess to rtx

Awesome!brNow all they have to do is make a version of the RTX 2080 Ti that bdoesn't/b have raytracing hardware, sell it for half the price, and I'm on it like a fly on shit :)brThis stuff is cool, but I've played Metro Exodus through a few times and it just doesn't really look a heck of a lot different with RTX on or offbrDrop the RTX hardware and add more CUDA cores and faster VRAM and now you're cooking with Crisco :)

How this is different thing than game engines ability to calculate rays realtime aka realtime global illumination??? I dont have to use any additional point light or other light sources to simulate light behaviour and light dark interiors because there is realtime indirect light calculations from light that comes from for example sun (direct light source) This is feature in some popular game engines

So many people defending shitty RTX when it looks better with it off Yeah, neat, you made a really important breakthrough in light and shadows, but if it looks bad and ruins framerate at a high-ass cost, there's no reason for it You can keep saying "but muh graphical engineers" but the market for this is not going to be big, and most people don't want it Most of us are still trying to get good framerate on games and you're trying to make shadows look prettier Face it, no one outside of your paid brainlet top commenters want this or can afford this, even within the 7 years it will take to become available to everyone

First of all: Don't get me wrong I like raytracing and i hope it will become standard in the futurebrbrbrBut Honestly i think the "faked lightning effects" in this game look better than the raytracing version (except for water oder mirroring Objects)brMetro doesn't really benefits of raytracing here The "darker style" without raytracing looks better to me brI would love to see the "faked lightning" of the environment combined with raytracing on water surfacesbrbrbrFor now because of the current price of the needed hardware raytracing won't find it's way into my PC
