That makes sense because taking the SAT puts a lot of pressure on the person taking it, which might lead them to performing worse than someone who might be cooler under pressure The reason the SAT score does not make up for low grades is because low grades could be a sign that the student does not work hard or turn in homework

THOSE GRADES ARENT LOW i have 6 classes 100 points each class AND I HAVE 445 points out of 600 which is a 7433 GPA out of 100 which is equal to having 4 74 percents and 2 75 percents so i would have all C's to make it equal and this boy thinks that 1 C is bad💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

I don’t believe this fact is true because the sat is standardized It might not help in getting into Yale obviously but that’s a very competitive school if you get a competitive sat with low gpa and apply to a less competitive but still competitive school that should be fine There’s always going to community college or a backup school and getting the best grades and transferring I also don’t understand what’s his purpose here other than for people not to do the sat which won’t hurt their application if they get a good score Is he trying to make it more easy for smart people to get into competitive schools like I’m confused

What about if you have good grades and a low ACT score because you are an awful test taker? I only completed about half my exam because my mind wanders, I overthink things, I need to re read things, and I just get bored and am unable to focus anymore The science section was reading graphs, which should have been easy, but I couldn’t even do that because my brain was so exhausted from the previous 3 or 4 hours of testing
