Taiwan has a huge geographical advantage in terms of defense It can rely on the advantage of interior lines Both the strait and the narrow shape of the island only serve as funnels to reduce China's active frontline strength from possibly 1 million men to only 50,000 men, metaphorically speaking In other words, unlike the Korean war, China cannot utilise its immense manpower advantage in TaiwanbrbrIf China have to win, it has to rely on qualitative advantage and technological edge However, with US and its allies supporting Taiwan, i highly doubt it can work At most, China can achieve technological parity with Taiwan and her allies But the defensive advantage of Taiwan means that China can be pushed back into the sea
