can a car audio amp capacitor power up a 1000 watt bitcoin miner like a antminer s2 ? Comment from : Ozzie Prints |
Great video! Comment from : BassManBobBassCovers |
Hi Martin, I don't know whether you have come across the supercapacitors that Maxwell make (ultracapacitor) I have a BMOD0058 E016 B02, it's 16V, 58F and much smaller than the audio capacitor Supercapacitors are only 2nd to batteries when it comes to energy density And of course they have longer life, higher peak current ratings, low ESR etc Comment from : kalhana1 |
how fast does the capacitor charge and what amp it has? Comment from : Mẫn Lê |
What are your views or philosophy on the bitcoin now? Comment from : jeanious2009 |

WTF You ramble on about nothing for 25 minutes!!! Anyone thinking of watching this, please do yourself a favor and watch cartoons instead This was a total waste of time !!!!! Comment from : Brandon Settar |

Whata pain in the ass of video Ty for spending 25 min of my life for aps nothing U owe me 50 bucks for that and I considering law suit Comment from : Alex V |
If you remove the voltage measurement gimmick at the top of the powercap it will hold it's charge for quite some time Better use it with bare terminals I have a Xentrix XC1000 (1Farad) from ebay to buffer my 80Ah battery during portable ham radio operation If i charge the powercap to 16V it drops down to 13V within a hour but after that it holds a charge for a few days dropping slow but steady Comment from : da_ke |

Now that the value of bitcoin is approaching $1,000 per BTC (late November 2013), are you still running your little butterfly labs miner and is it reaping much? Comment from : Guess Who |
I believe that BFL upgraded your Jalapeno because it took so long to ship, I thought you were going to open it up? I heard that BFL was using hot glue to hold some of their work together and am curious about that rumor Comment from : Raymond Holden |
I bet you are making some profit from that Jalapeno now! Comment from : Raymond Holden |
Great video thanks Comment from : Ami Khimji |

I never said anything bad about Fluke brand I bought my first Fluke around 1990 I think most of their equipment looks nice, just not this particular model I have a 87-V that I changed out backlight for red, and molded my own neon green case instead of yellow The last mod I'm going to do is to remove the Fluke logo, and print Alienware on the case just to be funny :-) Comment from : OneCoolDude08 |
I just have to say that Fluke 107 is UGLY I wouldn't buy it just for that reason There are other meters in the same ballpark of price and quality without hurting my eyes, lol Comment from : OneCoolDude08 |
One vote to keep the friendly chit chat at the start I like the broad overview before digging in I also like a bit longer videos I think 45 minutes is perfect consumption size Comment from : OneCoolDude08 |
Its great to learn from you I brought some nickel iron batteries which work well for solar store and are eco friendly The liquid inside can be used as potassium for plants So I suggest it as an eco storage for you I have wondered if these type of batteries can be home made Comment from : Ian Tubman |
I tend to agree You might find being more to the point, will make your videos getting more up votes Comment from : GeorgeGraves |
Well this is weird I didn't expect anything Bitcoin related from this channel I subscribed to you mainly because I wanted to learn more about Arduino Now you're talking about BTC miners, awesome haha! I'm not sure if it's because Bitcoin is getting bigger by the day or you're just a bright mind like the rest of us early Bitcoiners Comment from : M M |
I really need a few more meters and stuff to play with Good videos so I can decide what to get Comment from : vigsgb |
So good Comment from : Ege |
I ordered my BFL back in April, finally got the email saying it shipped The miner at current rates will only generate 2 btc or something Comment from : DdraigX |
You certainly inspire with what you are doing so I look forward to feedback on how well it's all working I'm glad that video is doing so wellas you know, that's what started me off playing with super / ultra capacitors Comment from : mjlorton |
Hi Pablo, thanks for the post, all going well herejust another hectic 6 weeks ahead as we get ready and move into a new home and setup lab again
I really appreciate your option, however,I specifically started doing the T4D's so I could have a "relaxed" chit chat, news and updates with out worrying about time and too much formality I also appreciate that this format may not suit many folks and that's why I noted in #0 they are clearly titled "T4D" so they can be skipped if not enjoyed Cheers Comment from : mjlorton |
Agreed, Like I said these devices are aimed at novice sound enthusiasts truth is, if you are serious about your sound you will have a bank of AGM's and huge/multiple alternators to keep em topped off all depends on your system only a small, anemic system will improve with a small cap once your system grows up, you need more hence the AGM's Comment from : kujawat |
I'm looking forward to see more about that Butterfly Lab ASIC and comparison with a PC CPU and GPU
Hopefully I will soon start making videos again maybe as soon as the end of the year and I will have a series about building the house and a lot of technical calculation about the energy required for a small house
It seems that the most watched video of mine is now about the ultra-capacitors, I never expected that will be the case but I'm glad they are getting popular Comment from : electrodacus |
I love your videos; always upvote them; and wanted to give you a friendly opinion this video had a 7:30 min introduction and a 18:30 min content In my opinion it would be better to make the intros shorter Thanks for your videos man ! I hope you are managing well your transition from sudafrica to the states (I'm from Argentina) Comment from : Pablo |
i know you can daisy chain these miners too bad there 275 bucks Comment from : joe burkett |
Not sure the idea is flawed, but the claimed storage is way off, others have tested these with the same results as mjlorton, Someone on utracapacitors com tested a few of these awhile back when the forum there was still open Unfortunately it got spammed to death Comment from : HillOrStream |
The brazillian Farnell (element14) is advertising the Fluke 106 in the front page: farnellnewark[dot]com[dot]br/fluke106multimetrodigital600v,product,BRF5029,0aspx Comment from : Nathan Campos |
Caps are a bit of a scam in car audio Power demands are way too high and last for far too long for a few farad cap to do anything useful Comment from : TMM |
Amazing idea Comment from : MegaBean |
Having a voltage meter at the junction right close to the load (amplifier) is common for car audio gives you an indication of voltage drops under load the cap manufacturers saw an opportunity to build them in as a marketing aid most in these cases are crap and out of your site anyway serious car audio enthusiasts will have their voltage meters near the source so that can monitor the voltages during normal operation Comment from : kujawat |
That Cap is a shit brand Pyle as in steaming pyle of shitno way it would do anything rated get an RF or equiv they will but caps aren't common in car audio anymore banks of AGM batteries are Comment from : kujawat |
