You failed to mention voice commends for photo and video, handy for narcissistic folk like me who love taking self portraits, I just say "cheese" and the image is taken, either with a self timer or slightest of delays, either way, its one hell of a useful feature that isn't talked about nearly enough, I know self portraits have a really bad rap these days (well, selfies), but more and more selfies are taken now than ever before I think its a handy little feature which deserves some love!brbrOh, I use android for now, but switching to apple again after 8 years away, the 14 pro max should arrive by Monday, so super excited to use the cameras! Comment from : Alexandra Starr |

Fantastic tutorial Thanks brFYI: in regards to iPhones being waterproof for 30 minutes, one evening while getting out of a dingy in the BVIs, I drop my iPhone 11 in 1 meter of water Fortunately, I retrieved the phone in the morning and after 13 hours of being in saltwater, INCREDIBLY the phone lit up and worked with no issue I was shocked So glad I didn’t have to buy another one Comment from : H V |

I’m an old guy, and been doing my photography hobby for let’s say about 50 years And still have several systems…and a hell lot’s of lenses, especially vintage ones which I use on any system Right now, mostly on Sony FF and MFT All this rubbish is a complete different story, though brA year ago I bought myself an IPhone 12 Pro Max This tiny instrument amazed me to be an (almost) fully usable photography-tool in everyday photowalking I always shoot Pro Raw, but maybe I shouldn’t… brMust admit, Tony, I learned a lot watching your video As always you do an excellent job, even about…just IPhone-shooting Which definitely is not what it was only 3 or 4 years agobrMy favorite YouTube channel neve fail, even though you’re kind of controversial from time to time That’s way I’m so excited about the two of You, guys! |
My experience with DNG photos (iPhone 11) is mediocre at best When shooting in daylight I have to underexpose nearly all the time I guess there’s something wrong with how the camera is metering (perhaps the developers don’t have access to a certain API) The fact I can’t expose for more than 1 second is annoying (I have a star tracker and I’d really like to experiment - long exposures shot with the default camera are considerably worse than Android cameras that can expose for more than 1 second) Just imagine being able to expose for 19 seconds (500 rule) and getting cleaner images Comment from : Dan Pandrea |
|
Absolutely superb, really useful information, loved it, 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Comment from : Pete Bird |

Great video, thanks Tony Can you shed any light on the claimed optical zoom on the iPhone 13 pro? I have come across numerous sources that claim that the telephoto lens has an optical zoom extending to 15x in photo mode, or 9x in video mode, but not supported in some of the other modes This makes me think it is digital, but the sources, including Apple, insist it is optical This also gets a little confusing in the macro mode as the phone likes to jump between the different lenses messing up the composition Comment from : Alun Rees |
