Sometimes its also not about how well you answer their questions, but the charisma you bring Ive always been good at being responsive, but i noticed i always sounded mono tone Makes it seem like im not very interested After I made that switch & sounded more engaging, my results were 10x better!

well I guess we should blame the HR ! because not everything has to be tricky as hell , someone might not know how to answer “tell me about yourself “ part but actually qualifies at the job , because in this way , you’ll get people who are good speakers and NOT necessarily the best ones…!and let me tell you that all the snakes are great speakers and players!!!

I've been recruiting in tech and financial services for 8 years "Tell me about yourself" is rarely asked You typically find these sample interview questions plastered all over online blogs by unqualified people telling you how to prepare an interviewbrbrIn the event this question is asked, it's usually by someone who has little or no experience conducting interviews and/or hasn't been trained how to properly run one

Interviewers always ask the most idiotic and irrelevant questions in interviews though It's usually a bunch of bullshit that has nothing to do with the job itself or anything relevant to the person's work ethic or qualifications That's why I hate the whole interview process It's not always that way, but from my experience and what I've heard from others this is how it goes They basically set you up to give bullshit responses that just kiss the company's ass or make up things about themselves to "impress" the interviewer

The questions to ask in an interview should determine if a) you are going to be good in the job and b) how will you work with others "Tell me about yourself" answers neither It's a lazy response It has nothing to do with "selling yourself" If someone uses that dumb, thoughtless comment in an interview, run and find a better job
