Why are you calling the preconditioning message an “error”? I see no reference to an error on your display, or on my Tesla’s displays, when they tell me they are preconditioning, just a message saying the car is preconditioning

Error means ERRORbrCOST for re-chargarging are much higher and slower at times EVEN AT 50° Fahrenheit Reality is called that for a reason

On a road-trip, wanting to stop for lunch, I don't want it to charge fast because I'll have to move it before I'm done to avoid idle fees, therefore, I have to cancel the navigation to stop the preconditioning so that the car takes longer to charge 1st world problems I suppose!

Great video, one question I have is, can we precondition the battery for level 2 charging or does not matter? What I thought was put in a supper charging location so it would precondition but plug into a level 2 charger instead

Is there a reason why my model x takes forever to start preconditioniong the battery? Sometimes i even make it to the supercharger before it ever start and the battery is still clear cold as i dont have full regen braking

How can you get the preconditioning to start in really cold temperatures? I'm stuck in the mountains in a little town at the supercharger (-6° F) and my car will not charge because of the cold Apparently the car won't warm the battery unless the charge is above 20 So I guess if it's super cold and you are at 16, you are just out of luck I never realized how dangerous Tesla ownership could be in the mountains

Over the summer the notification would come on as you approach the super charging station (2-5 miles out) Now when we are at 40F and 95 charged, the notification comes on right away even if I have 90miles to go Is this normal?
