Another Tesla fanboy that belives that Tesla has invented the wheel all over again Most vital computers in a Tesla is the same as in other cars The ABS, ESP, braking, steering and suspension is done with old german components with german software No Tesla or any other EV is among the most software intensive cars on the market The cars with most software and software driven functions on the market is still the top models of german premium brands ie S-class, A8 and 7-Series Comment from : @GTO33 |

Is Sandy Munro working for Elon Musk? YouTube is full of these Tesla cheer leaders, claiming that Mr Musk is some kind of god who's going to put the entire car industry out of business Comment from : @winstonsmyth1646 |
I would think Tesla would have a totally different hardware structure and the software would be too different to offer the other companies compatability? A bare bones AI app that's taught the different languages in the PCM that could handle the updates would make sense A concierge for the different array of components Comment from : @robertjackson7590 |

My motto since 2006: "This is a software world!" Comment from : @i1pro |
Still hoping the legacy auto makers come through It’s only personal preference but I don’t like Teslas and thought because they are a software-first company, this video is referring to Tesla as a turd on wheels from the actual vehicle aspect The build and ride quality have quirks/errors/deficiencies that seem as bad as the software efforts of the legacy auto makers At this stage, I guess it’s preference as to what would be more annoying to own at a given price point Comment from : @highoctaneadventure |
How’s Toyota f’d? Comment from : @user-mv8rw8hd6r |

I knew legacy was in trouble with EVs and going to lose happened years ago now … I stopped in a Chevy dealer and looked at the second generation Volt The sales rep told me the windshield frit (those little black dots near the edges) was a solar panel and helped charge the Volt This is a true story Comment from : @beaconterraoneonline |
People constantly overrate software The software is a hype AND WHY Number 1 tesla promised autonomous driving coming every 2 years But this autonomous driving doesnt work in Amsterdam as autonomous driving is being written ijn the USA and bicycles is problably no priority in this autonomous driving program We are still lightyears away from autonomous drivingbras every country is different in roaduse Unfortunately people rate cars by software and not build quality I need a car with a good battery fast charging time and safety features and for this we dont need a lot of software Tesla is the new thing to own like apple phones were 20 years ago Comment from : @broesilov |
What an idea br not having to own a car It is extremely expensive I've got three sitting in the front yardmy insurance alone is outrageous I'd be glad to get rid of the expense for sure Comment from : @jeffreydurrance5400 |
Software on wheels, exactly right! So, car companies, who don't even make their own electronic components and depend heavily on outside suppliers are now magically going to make their own entirely electronic vehicle?! Keep in mind, many of these car companies have terrible malfunction and reliability issues due directly to their faulty electrical components and a least a few more have terrible reputations for their failures in manufacturing reliable ICE engines and automobiles as a whole How many times have you heard of a car company mechanic that can't figure out what is wrong with a car their company made, or get the diagnosis wrong over multiple visits to the shop?! Why would anyone trust people to make a reliable battery powered electronic vehicle that are notorious for software bugs and heavily dependent on updates and remote customer interaction, when they can't even fix the unreliable, mechanical cars they already made when the customer actually brings the car into the shop?! Comment from : @smoothy8464 |
Thank you for this! Talking about FSD and people not getting it! OTA updates are over a decade old and VW has close to 300,000 employees and the cost of there vehicles are out of reach now! Your comment, race to bankruptcy was brilliant! I'm subscribing now! Genius! Comment from : @TransAtlanticEV |
I love it when people who've never worked in software development think that you "buy" software in any conventional sense It is licensed for use only, it is never sold, and the IP rights remain with the vendor If another automaker wanted to license Tesla's SW, not only would they pay tens of billions up front to put it in their products, someone, likely the individual vehicle owner, would need to pay a yearly license renewal and update support fee - a Tesla tax, if you will, on your Ford, GM, or VW EV But that's not all of the major problems with that idea (1) Comment from : @geoffreysmith3196 |
All new cars are computer's on wheels! Idiots Comment from : @MissionaryForMexico |
Listening to people talk about electronics and software as if they know what there saying is just down out wrong To suggest that software dictates how the overall development process should proceed is an incorrect assumption Product development is not easy a process when comes to complex products especially if you’re trying to do something new and innovative while being grounded in a conservative culture not used to breaking with tradition Tesla on the other hand is an innovative and groundbreaking company, but they have made their mistakes and still do so while being highly aggressive in there marketing, development, and investments portfolios Comment from : @konradandreenordvik9829 |
Cybertruck, Roadster, solar city yeah winning? Lol Comment from : @netgeek3010 |

I don't understand how these types of videos can steal so much content from others Is there an agreement? Or just take and use I get short clips, but this is a replay with this dude saying he knows everything Comment from : @MarkPryor1 |
Software is difficult and expensive! Tesla has always considered itself a software company that builds cars Ford, VW, etc are car companies that use software! Basically says it all Comment from : @Elger77 |
bro impact printers with the green and white bar paper and fax machines - both physical and virtual are still in use at banks and lumber yards and lots of businesses in the USA it will take another 20 years for them to die off Comment from : @danielroden9424 |
