I'll admit this is making my want to play archers, like, real bad? I'm a f2p, I know infantry is "always the best choice", but let's face it, as a f2p I'm getting steamrolled no matter what I choose Archers have YSG and Aethelfled, two must have commanders that other troop types still use Other commanders aren't as touch to get as cav ones (Moneymoto unavailable to f2p, Saladin MGE) And finally Ottomans look like the absolute best civ to use in combat (health best stat in the game, skill damage godly on YSG nuke, march speed never a bad thing), plus Ottoman's special unit has the highest health of all archers (and I can't stress enough that health is the best stat to have)

Byzantium is the open field civ for cavs Period you got a double health bonus, the civ bonus and the special unit bonus If you can avoid the sad face, the hospital capacity just allows more fighting without healing

I recommend to all the low spend and f2p people in my kingdom to do France The healing speed and Troop Health is just OP for f2p in my opinion Letting them heal up faster and give them some more sustain stats is just fantastic Mid spenders that are infantry focused Vikings Mid spend cav and archer OttomanbrbrI'll be going with Ottoman since I am double dipping on Cav and Archer rally duties this kvk Don't want to swap back and forth nonstop

I guess Byzantium is great to switch to if you've been caught out and youre likely to be zeroed, no matter what you do (imprison/war frenzy)brbrCan save a few more troops if you can remember to do it!

Why not mention the troop base stat differences as well? France and Viking are close but France specialty troops get 5 points more base health stats, while Vikings get 4 points more base defense stats Definitely prefer those health points for my infantry troops
