i absolutely agree to all the words mentioned in this video also competition is so high that even best skilled candidates dont get recruited in the first place Reference building is a must have skill and problem with that also is that either someone recommends your work or you hv an eye catching portfolio to start with in all cases, tough luck for freshers😢brbrMy fellow developer friends, keep trying hard and we shall achieve the best😊 Comment from : 3D Generation |

QuestionI'm still learning so just watched your video (great btw) because it popped up But is every self taught developer out there a web developer? Because I'm not sure I'm interested in web development as much, specially considering how quickly things change (even in a fast-changing field as programming) But it seems almost everyone aspires to web development and wondering if I should go that route to get a job asap (as soon as I have the skills of course, in a year at least!) Comment from : MoonOvIce |

Hey man, thanks for making that video You touched on a lot of things that I think is going to be very helpful when I make this career change I’m moving over to software development from sales and marketing I’m done with running sales offices, and being a babysitter, all day long Your comments on the internship were awesome, I think a lot of people don’t put stock into the fact that that’s just building your skills and the importance of building a network Anyways, thanks again for the video Maybe we’ll work on something together someday Comment from : MARKLE EXPAT ADVENTURES |

I am on the fence of whether or not I should undertake the boot-camp route, even if it's provided by Amazon through their Career Choice Program, but to only fear of having my resume pushed aside due to the LACK of a degree Though, I do have some University experience (2yrs) in the Electronics Engineering field - from a school of which I'm too ashamed to name Fast forward 12-15 years later I regret not finishing my degree at a younger age, and now find myself seeking the opinions of those who have gone through the boot-camp gauntlet and who were lucky enough to land a decent paying job Comment from : Kilraki |

Thanks for what you said about job listings I'm self taught and considering one final push to get into the industry I'm already more or less qualified for a junior position but I need to finish up and learn a stack rather than just the fundamentals of a few languages So far I applied to one job and totally bombed on the interview Apparently there was a miscommunication about what the job actually was, yet this was not discussed until the 4th interview which was a group panel Comment from : Tyler Rogan |

What about the dreaded YOE? I got fired from my first developer job because it was a small startup with REALLY smart people and everyone on my team was 4-5 years into their careers and I was just starting out (I do have a BS in CS but never did an internship so finding my first job was damn hard) I thought that having 7 months FT experience I would find a job rather soon but mostly getting ghosted or rejected and the few I did interview at even making the final interview was rejected Getting really demoralized Comment from : BlackRaven |

Why do HR even do the recruiting, shouldn't that be the team manager or like team manager assistant, HR people in my experience have no experience with the field they manage, therefor poor reasoning towards recruiting someone that is fit for the needs of the company Comment from : Antoine B Guitar |
