Do you realize how bad are those plastic stuff on the bottom for oxygen, survival and environment? They emit chemicals, This is like throwing grabage in the water It also peisons the ground below when it dissolves Better find a good solution and make a true natural pond, which means It needs enough water to fill it's underground water storages Pouring water in the hole, it will go underground, but pouring enough when the underground is filled up means it'll refill itself from the underground and making another water cycle Comment from : @Prof-Anax |

Super cool, good job Only thing I saw that you did that I would have done differently with this pond is how you cut the liner right away, from what I've learned by watching the Aquascape guys build ponds is not to cut the liner until everything is done so you don't cut it too small brI really want to build a pond, but I will probably get one of the Aquascape pond kits, they run around the same as what you paid and comes with everything except the rock and gravel, and they make it super easy for people like me lol brOnly issue is I have a pet duck who loves to trash water, so I worry about filtration and was told I will need a wetlands filter to combat her messiness I wonder though if that still applies even if she wont always be outside in the pond, as she is a house duck Comment from : @lizsurbanroost3624 |

I dunno, inground pond and "budget" don't mix Above ground ponds are the best imo It's a much more controlled eco system You can extend Virtually no digging No liners You can build it using the Walstad method Easier to break down if something goes wrong or you need to move Etc Comment from : @midnull6009 |
