At first this hurt my heart because I know not everyone has the means or desire to work with an aggressive dog As I continued to watch your videos its given me more and more hope that I myself (and others) can help a dog correct themselves, not change them My buddy, Ollie is the sweetest boy in the world until he gets to the vet or a muzzle tries to go on As a pit/lab a lot of people passed him I adopted at 10 months and he's coming up on 6 years If anyone has any suggestions that would be amazing! thank you Upstate for everything you do!

I’ve learned using the prong collar that is properly fitted makes all the difference in the worldbrbrYou can correct a dog using the lightest of touches and causing it no fear or pain 🤷🏻‍♀️

This training session with Bruce gives me hope Our dog, Doc, has what seems to be very similar reactivity Lots of positive reinforcement training and medication for the last 9 months, with little change in his behavior We recently started with the prong collar and a more balanced approach, socializing at a local Lowes center in the parking lot and he seems to be getting better A long way to go, still managing around the house

I teared up watching this This is my dog to a tee Sweet and loving with his own people but fearful and reactive on his leash For too long I have just accepted this reality because I assumed it was genetic (hes a GSD) and that he is just "that kind of dog" But the more I research and watch your videos I am realizing he is not "aggressive", he is scared and lacking structure Thanks for giving me new hope and inspiring me to do better for my pup!

The problem is in Australia its illegal to import prong collars and in south australia in particular the use of an e collar is illegal so it leaves a nose halti, flat collar, harness or check/choke chain, i use a halti on my akita who i need to work on impulse control as she is a social butterfly and also just allert watching everything and not food based will not touch it when out of home and zoned in on something

Can you do a video with training a dog to be around cats? Our new to us 16 month old Lab/pointer mix is great He knows the basics but I just can't get him to listen when he wants to chase the cat We can get him to focus around a variety of distraction but not when it comes to the cat and to be honest, I am so afraid to keep trying For now she is in our bedroom

Just stumbled on your videos yesterday, love them You are really great with dogs Would love to see how you would go about working with someone who uses 1 or 2 canes/walking sticks and used a waist leach to walk their dog Yep, me Have a 8 year old Cane Corso who walks pretty good with a harness and waist leach She listens mostlybehaves mostlytypical brat sometimes So yes, would like to see how you would go about helping all of us with handicaps who still want a well trained/behaved dog Keep up the good work you are doing

Hi there, I reached out to your online store support team but haven’t received a response yet I placed an order (#11189) and received one shipping and delivery notification only for the entire order, which made me think the entire order was shipping together However, when the package arrived, most of the items I ordered was missing I ordered 3 toys and 2 leashes Only 2 toys arrived, and I haven’t received another notice of a separate shipment I have been charged for everything Could someone please help?

Fantastic work as always I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong with my GSD Any trips on for how to be more relaxed on walks His reactivity is now very low in training (With new dogs and people) But on a a walk It’s 0-1000 in 02 seconds

I’ve recently changed my approach with certain reactive dogs all depending on how good motivated they are ! Instead of doing it the old way basicaly the same way that Tom is doing here, I instead, Try hand feeding to be able to lower their guard …and it’s actualy been working very well! A Lot of these dogs are just completely fearful and missunderstood and most importantly they are CONFUSED! They have been given little to no Actual Direction, and they’ve either gone through some kind of trauma have not been properly socialized,, have unintentionally treated for their bad behaviour so one part of them thinks that this is the behaviour that is wanted out of them, and another part is Fear ( as well as confusion)

Hey Thomas! I have a 10 month old cavalier King Charles He’s a very sweet, docile dog But when we go on walks in areas with lots of distractions I have a hard time getting him to not pull on the leash and to focus on me I’m using a harness and treats, sometimes that works sometimes it doesn’t Any advice?

The original UK ruff ryder/dog trainer 🇬🇧 dogs announcing their arrival/ saying no no no ie a bitch in heat is a valuable tool for training aswell as a protection dog for example doesn’t want to hear no no or hello they just want you to go, I have disputes daily just remember we are all dog trainers and all have different ways of thinking woman are great leaders some of them the reason Male Elephants don’t lead is they will kill all the young that don’t behave for example, have a brill day from the UK 🇬🇧

I like that muzzle Anybody know what that exact muzzle is? I want a muzzle that is more open for a heavy panter, and that my dog can still drink through and get treats throughbut, not difficult to get a good fit either

Another video that makes me tear up so many people need to be taught how to interact with these dogs, and teaching the owner how to handle the reactivity These dogs are manageable, and yes he might not be a lapdog for every person but he has so much potential to be a good dog and CAN be around other people and dogs LOVE the videos Tom and crew thank you yet again!

This is my Great Pyrenees & more issues We rescued him @ 10 months, he almost 4 now He chose my husband as his personUnfortunately my husband had a stroke during his bypass surgery & never recovered He passed away 3 months ago & was in ICU for 4 months before that So we have both been grieving but I have no control over this dog I can’t get him to the vet, he’s always been insane about any one clipping his nails I’m at a loss as to how to help him @ 67 years old not in the best health myself He would never let EMT’S in the house if I had an issues I cry when I see people out enjoying their dogs taking them on walks Is their any hope for us?💔💔🙏🐾
