In 2018, using an i7-7740X 45ghz 4-core chip and a GTX 970 all on an Asrock board? It's as though all the money was put into the case and the hardware speed and quality suffered

GTX 970 is ok not the fastest gpu but ok But using quad channel config on a 7740x is pointless because 4 of the 8 ram slots are deactivated Not a defective board just a wrong cpu😉brThe airbrushed custom case looks awesome

PROBLEM: You are using a thermaltake cpu block for 1151 cpu socket I take it that it also fits fine with the x299 motherboards (2066 socket cpu) as thats what your doing and this is also how i want my build due to the lack of cpu blocks for the new cpu socket

The i7-7740X supports only 2-memory channels, so in the most X299 motherboards the left ram slots are disabled for that reason If you used a i7-7800X or above, all the ram would work just fine
