Final Fantasy The Spirits Within, I remember being super excited when I watched the trailer, but once I saw the film, it was very evident that those convoluted JRPG plots do not work on moviesbrbrSpeed Racer you couldn’t really tell to whom that movie was made for It was like a bad acid trip, and my retinas were hurting half an hour into the movie

Seeing Sinbad on here was a major stunner to me I haven’t seen it since I was a kid, but for whatever reason, it was an absolute favorite of mine as a child, only beat by Finding Nemo I probably watched it over 100 times I honestly do not know why It just made me love it So seeing it now, I’m surprised to see how hard it bombed I’m jokingly telling myself that child me would have made it turn a profit at the box office

John Carter was a failure in large part because of poor marketing The most common criticisms were due to people expecting it to be believable based on modern knowledge of scientific theories, rather than theories that were popular 100 years ago (which, again, is part of the marketing failure) People's general lack of understanding of the fact that bthe book was written before jets or rocket propulsion even existed/b led to a lot of mistakes in audience's expectations brbrAlso, it was around the time that critics were mostly idiots but before the public really realized that So people trusted reviews more than they should have
