4:16 i know the first kit has ProMOS chips, not sure about the second one; also i dont think d9gmh would go that high with those timingsbr8:05 the G31,33/G41,43 lines were like entry level/cheap/cut-down versions; G35/G45 were the IGP counterpartsbryou went LN2 @ 19v on the e8600 because of the fsb, right? also any idea on what voltage controllers and/or power sstages/mosfets are on that board? I've got a Asus Commando, works well, but, don't keep bios informations if don't have energybrAnd the LCD doesn't work, but they work's fine with this tiny problemsbrI've overclocked a Xeon X5450 modded to 775 to 41GHz with an aircooler Comment from : Polengo |

Very cool find! Given that it is such good condition it would be sick to see this in a build with custom loop It needs to be test bench style lol, something tells me you'll be OK with that! Comment from : Dustin Thomas |

I think the most important milestone of RE is the fact this board was built with X48 chipset while maintaining the ease of OC and high OC headroom(And X38/X48 was notorious for being tough to OC compared to P35 and P45 if you exclude DFI boards)brMoreover I don't recall any DDR3 X38/X48 motherboard ever came close to RE in terms of overclockability, even rivaling the limits of P35 and P45 Comment from : hateWinVista |

fastet ddr2 i have seen was kingston br1200MHz c5 5 5 15 Comment from : Josh Malloy Racing #666 |

I still run a Q9550 in my shop And I have an E8400 Unfortunately, I only have an X38 for them Comment from : MattsMechanicalSSI |

The standoffs came at least with the Maximus Extreme, so wouldn't surprise me if they came stock with a rex, especially since one of mine came with them stuck to the back brYou are also crazy lucky for not having a single Fujitsu die yet, I've seen way too many fail lately to be able to trust them Comment from : Ground |

Great vid My first pc that was not a family one was an Asus p5k-e wifi which died on me and I replaced with a ep45t-ud3lr I had no idea about overclocking back in the day so I never had an x48 board I tried overclocking with the intel stock cooler and the fans on my antec 900 case blowing like jet engines and managed to get a measly 38ghz on my e8400 Comment from : Ed Plat |

Another motherboard from that era that was also really good was the ASUS nForce 790i ultra Striker II Extreme The sad thing is that was one of the best boards that was possible at that time and it cost $300 $300 wont get you a board of equivalent quality now, now it’s $500 or more and the heat sinks aren’t near as good most of the time Comment from : False Prophet |
