I know it's been 3 years but, I would still like to clarify you don't need to stop or get off your horse to change outfits, simply bring him down to a trot with R1 or if you have 4/4 bond just let go of everything and hold square Also, if you're trying to climb and it's too steep you can crouch for a better grip
