Everyone in the comment is telling how much their relatives do and how they look or how much they themselves do and how muscular they are This is not the point doing Push ups even in a high range will build muscle but if your focus is only building muscle doing them with more in a lower range with weights is better for building muscle

Muscular endurance and hypertrophy are not opposites of one another There different ways to test your fitness level…muscular strength, muscular endurance, and power Hypertrophy is just the growth in the size of muscle fibers due to progressive overload Overload can come from resistance weight training when you accomplish improvements in weight, reps, sets, rest time Push ups for reps is a way to progressive overload but an experienced trainer like the Tates probably do it to keep their muscle mass at this point and stay lean Also, upper body’s of the Tates are heavy enough It’s not like their twigs
