You can get a wonder weapon even earlier I've gotten both the ray gun and the shockwave from crystals on the first portal (which getting the machine part) The drop chance for the shockwave seems to actually be lower than the ray gun from crystals, but i got an instant PB when i had the shockwave at round 5 lol i think its worth it to at least shoot a few crystals as you run through for the machine part its pretty obvious is a wonderweapon drops
