I agree that privacy is important and Monero does it better than Bitcoin (although there are ways in which you can anonymise your Bitcoin like Coinjoins with Wasabi and Samourai wallets) But what you don't mention is that Monero has a scalability problem Each Monero transaction weights approximately 8x as much as each Bitcoin transaction, putting a lot of strain on its nodes and it would suffer from serious centralisation if it had to handle the same or more volume as Bitcoin currently handles
