i got it 2 years ago, it gradually got better and i was suddenly enjoying coffee again and everything now smells normal, except some actual foul smells in fields and tea bags smell literally like rotton fruit but i think there’s a hint of that recovering a tiny bit

I smell cigarete smoke, even if nobody smoke (or maybe somewere far away, dont know), my sweat smells different and nasty, fart smells like kind of chemical, and lot of tastes changed, mostly egg, onion (roasted) or meal made on onion, tooth paste is realy strange, but fortunatly i can eat and drink anything as before, just taste of some things changed I am 2years aftes covid when i lost my taste and smell, it came back slowly after months, but slightly dissorted Sometimes i feel like my smell is bit better, improved and i can catch smells that most people dont smell or just realy slightly - cant confirm yet

I've had some changes to my smell and taste due to covid and it's now been two years I'm MOSTLY back to normal but some things are still different I'm lucky in that literally NOTHING tastes BAD to me now And what used to smell bad, now just smells weird I count myself lucky that I've had a nearly complete recovery For a while, onions were just too strong Eventually they came back to normal For a time, I was super sensitive to salt That's back to normal, too Some foods still have kind of a weak flavor Pizza is not as intense as it used to be Pepperoni and salami and some other cold cuts are now milder in flavor, too I'm hoping everything comes back eventually brbrI also suffered some strength loss but I got that back as I became a gym rat shortly afterwards I'm stronger now than ever before in my life

I was feeling much better on day 7 and had only had minor loss of taste during the time I was quite unwell but today developed this parosmia and it's the strangest thing strong chemical odour has replaced a lot of smells, anything acidic/vinegar smelling seems to be particularly affectedbrbrHope it goes away, the 'new' smell is quite unpleasant and chemically almost ammonia like

I wish I had issues with chips, chocolate, pizza, burgers, sodas, junk food in general I love them all, but they don't love me backbrbrSeriously, I just have a pervasive odor of stinky feet, and it's not from me I do daily sinus rinse and use steroid, still there

I smell a funny smell like when you file your nails and it has a little funny smell after you manicure them It's in my nose a year later after I got covid-19 So I put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton saw and breath it in(not to deep) and it cleared up the smell instantly I took THC oil after and it hasn't come back

Almost 3 years later (march 2021) cant be in the same room with CUCAMBERS, onion, garlicCant eat boiled meat, chicken & fried food My diet is pritty much carbs, red meat and some fruits It is what it is at this point

I am finally over it completely after 12 months The last few months I still got a whiff of that rancid smell once and a while (coca cola, toothpaste) but now I can eat everything and drink everything except coca cola (which is a good thing anyway) don't loss hope people

I had covid for the first time in November 2021, and my smell barely came back around July 2022 What sucks is that about 2 weeks after I got my smell back to normal, I got covid AGAIN and it basically reset the parosmia again This time the smells are worst, but taste is mostly normal I hate this so much, I will never take smelling things for granted again!!!

I've had this for over 6 years now I saw specialists who said it could have been triggered by a virus I've got anti-sickness medications and migraine medications now- I get overwhelmed by the smells till the point I puke I've been living in a bubble as I also got hyperosmia I had the tests on nose and brain I've tried various things over the past years trying to get my life back The worst thing about having this isn't everything smelling disgusting it's how people treat you like it's all in your head The good news is the ENT specialist said it might go away I wish you all a speedy recovery If you haven't already get to a dentist to rule out any infection and ask your doctor for blood tests in case there's any underlying deficiency I'm really hopeful since it's now a side effect of covid that more research and support could become available Good luck everyone and remember you're not alone in this even though it is isolating

Some things smell like rotten corpses or like a dumpster I find myself over seasoning my foods as well, My Laundry smells like something slightly burnt or cooked even though I used Tide detergent and or Arm and hammer Its been 2 years now
