That looks impressive, but in no way does it seem "realistic" I know and feel that it is just a character in a video game Look at the way the horses feet move and touch the ground That alone breaks the realism feeling for me At times, rdr2 approaches movie quality, but even movies feel fake

These mods and shaders are all the same Upping the levels and cranking up contrast to 11 is not realism Black shadows during the day is not realism Blinding specular highlights is not realism Oversaturating with yellow to simulate warmth is not realism Go outside and look at what makes reality reality instead of believing a shader is more realistic than reality

Imo RDR2 will never look realistic unless lighting is globally illuminated The indoor lighting looks fake as hell, outdoors significantly better but many areas still weirdly lit It's gorgeous but in a video gamey way Not realism way

the 4090 is just a huge waste of money your best option is to get a Rtx 4080 you can still get the same framerate just for a munch cheaper price than the Rtx 4090 it may have less vram but the framerate is still very good on the 4080

Honestly I think the volumetric lights in this game do degrade the presentation a bit Most of the time they are super bright, which can hide the beautiful environments and fabulous detail beneath them Great video though!

This game has been out for five years amazingbrbrI'm on an old 1070ti at 1440p and it honestly looks nearly as good, but FPS is averaging about 50 until my 16 gb of RAM runs out and it goes slide show on me (not often enough to care)
