I don’t water mine until it’s leaves begin to “taco” and curl inwards, also it’s color gets slightly duller Soil will be very dry by this point so I give it a hefty drowning with DI water Never had an issue with it and she gave me a ton of babies this summer, as well as seeds ☺️brbrEdit to add that while they don’t like to completely dry out between waterings, that’s not in reference to soil but rather the tubers (large roots,) as they store a lot of the plants water If you notice soft/mushy leaves or the center of the leaves are browning, let her dry for a while before watering again

I just bought me a plant and is dying as I try to drive an hour to my house so I don’t know if it’s too much heat I do have the air on when it is sweltering outside I guess they don’t like to be really hot

If they do get direct light which they can tolerate for an hour or two but only morning light which isn't that strong compared to midday especially in the afternoon, my spider plant wasn't happy until I moved it to my east facing window and loved the morning sun

We have many many spider plants all around inside and outside our property They grow so easily were we live all year round! We have them in the house also But outside, they’re in pots and in the ground They’ve survived through years and years of weather from major thunderstorms to heatwaves We’ve even had snow! We live on the Northern Californian coast so our weather isn’t too bad usually, but they do go through it all and come out of it like a champ! Now that’s outside Inside it’s a different story He’s right, they like their water, humidity and natural light I only bought one in 1994 and all of these plants are from the babies of that one ❤😊
