The Xbox series s only renders in 1080p and lower textures, while the ps5 is rendering at 4k with higher textures AND doesn't have native DX11/12, meaning each game has to be portedbrbrIf the ps5 ever gets DX support, expect it to outperform the series S and get really close to the series XbrbrOr if developers optimize ps5 games better

Ps5 is running it at 1440p at 120fps while series s is running it at 1080p at 120fps It drops more on ps5 because of that 1440p resolution

man, i live in a country who consoles like a ps5 are sold by literally 4,7k bucks, and the series s with all this power and acessibility can be sold by 1,9k actually The difference of price and difference of power is not all this proportional, and the fact is, for countrys like mine, this console is ABSOLUTELY worth it! obviously, that still has such a difference in quality, but you can imagine how much a 4k tv custs here, and the majority of people still uses a full hd tv This mini monster can literally put so much people in the new gen with so few custs, for this reason, he become the most popular in here, i believebrthat in other countries like this are in the same situation I appreciate so much this decision of microsoft, i finally can have an actual console with some kind of low conditions, and I believe that many other people finally can have it too

Both systems are AMD , but the real deal is most developers make the games in dx11/12 so the main problem ps5 can’t do this natively since it’s not Microsoft So most games are ported from dx 11/12 to OpenGL/Vulcan which can impact the performance Same thing you see in proton (Linux) or metal (apple) I perfer Xboxs but that’s because I play pc to so it’s nice when I can buy a game on Xbox and have it on pc also

I probably shouldn't bother but I will try present some logic in this comment section regardless I'm not sure what's do hard to understand, both PS5 and XSX run fortnite at 1440p resolution which is much higher than Series S's 1080p, addtionaly the two more powerful consoles use higher settings than Series S Notice how there aren't any volumetric clouds on Series s? Now I'm not saying series S isn't a kickass budget option infact who cares about higher resolution, personally I don't so it's still a great console but for those of you here saying playstation needs to step-up their game just understand the differences listed above

The difference is that the ps5 is using more resolution than the xbox series s and that is why the fps are not more stable, the resolution of the ps5 in fortnite is 4k while the xbox series s is 1440p, the ps5 is still more powerful
