As with the previous version in 11 speed (R7000), 105 is functionally identical to Ultegra and Dura-Ace Even the GCN guys couldn't tell the difference between 105 an Dura-Ace in a blindfolded side-by-side trainer comparison The only difference is the weight

With the crankset issue finally recognised for the top two groupsets It looks like 105 has comes up Trump's again It is the people's groupset Afterall with 12 speed mechanical and Di2 both available with the usual 105 reasonable price point and reliabilitybrShimano has certainly been the dominant bicycle component supplier of the last twenty five years with 105 remembered fondly from my youthbr😎👍

My bike currently has a 10-speed mechanical disk brake Tiagra groupset I'd love to upgrade it 105, but I don't know if it is compatible with an 11 (or now 12) speed cassette What do I need to check/measure before I go about upgrading it, or is it simply not possible due to the space between the rear dropouts? If the dropouts aren't an issue, can I upgrade the rear wheel/hub to ensure its compatible? Thanks!
