All e-mini future traders should know the key dividend reinvestment dates for big S&P 500 index funds On 28jun2021 and 28sep2021, two of the biggest S&P 500 index funds, Vanguard VFIAX (2224 Billion) and TSP C fund(2515 Billion) automatically reinvest the quarterly dividends for their fund holders This means a combined 177 Billion of shares being bought on these days, a huge upward pressure Vanguard publishes their VFIAX dividend reinvestment date but TSP does not publish their C fund dividend reinvestment date However, C funds share prices reflect that their dividend reinvestment matches the VFIAX dividend reinvestment dates

I've been trading Micro E-Mini on TOS since Feb 2020 I'm not a huge fan of the back and forth contract cost of commissions and fees to $5 However, I trust the platform and the customer support has been top notch I just think of the $5 as a sunk cost every time I make a trade #RiskManagement

It's obvious that they need to adjust the commissions to be more in line with lower anticipated returns from such a timid contract If you trade this micro as it's set up presently, I have a bridge here in NY to sell you

Why does TD require me to put up 100 margin on these futures on my Paper account? I want to learn how to use them but I feel like its pointless to be a micro e mini futures if I have to put 3k into it regardless
