So basically what this guy did was set his modem to act as a router and made the router seem as if it’s a “connected device” to the modem If you’re able access modem, you shouldn’t do this It would probably be a security risk Not only that but it also doesn’t give you a “static ip” It will give you an internal static ip for the router relative to the modem but it’s also pointless
